Training Programs

Since starting more than 30 years ago, TS has endeavored to take the lead in national efforts to protect the public from possible traffic risks. With the gravity of greater traffic safety challenges weighing heavily on the minds of people all around the world, Korea strives to play a vital role in taking global efforts to the next level.
In partnership with local agencies and international organizations, TS has been actively working with its partner countries to share the experiences of Korea as gained from its rapid transformation into an economic powerhouse. Currently, TS is pursuing close ties with Asian partners—the Philippines, China, Vietnam, Indonesia and Mongolia—by sharing information and providing training programs aimed at developing the skills and expertise of public officials, which are needed to foster better safety in their countries.
TS's training programs invite public officials, researchers, and engineers in the field of traffic safety and help the trainees increase capability, acquire skills, and ultimately, address their safety challenges. TS identifies areas that fit the needs of developing countries to design a customized training program that will help a partner country best benefit from its expertise and experiences. The training programs provide courses on areas under our responsibilities—for example, traffic safety strategies, road safety audit and inspection, vehicle inspection, vehicle safety technologies and regulations, safe driving habits, and so forth.
To prevent a program from being a one-off event, TS works to maintain channels of communication with trainees so that it can continuously respond to their requests and offer assistance.
